Once again, this year we have decided to do a Maundy Thursday evening service in lieu of a Good Friday service. What is a “Maundy Thursday Service?” A Maundy Thursday service is essentially a Good Friday service on Thursday night. Maundy means “Mandate” referring to the time that Jesus gave his disciples the mandate to wash His disciples’ feet the night before He went to the cross. It will be an evening focused on this, the most important turning point in history – The Cross.
