Hey Sturgeon Alliance   I don’t know about you, but sometimes I can get overwhelmed with life.  And when that happens, there are countless thoughts that run through my mind…

-       What does that person think about me?

-       How am I going to get that project done in time?

-       How are we going to afford that?

-       What if the car breaks down?

-       What am I going to make for supper?

-       I wonder how the kids are making out today?

-       How come that person hasn’t responded back to me?

-       I need to clean the garage tonight!

-       I need to book that appointment!

-       I wish I hadn’t said that to that person.

-       How am I going to navigate that meeting?

-       Where is God in all this?

And that can all be in the span of 3 minutes! Sometimes life can leave you feeling overwhelmed – struggles, pain, worry, fear, guilt, doubts – it all leaves us in a place where we feel we don’t have the tools to cope.  Have you ever been there? Maybe that has been your day today! This past Sunday we started a new series called “Overwhelmed.” We looked into Isaiah 40 and found that the people of Israel whom Isaiah was writing to were overwhelmed too!  They thought God’s eyes were glazed over and he wasn’t paying attention to their difficulties in life. It was then that Isaiah reminded them that God is big enough to care for the universe and gentle enough to care for their circumstance. No matter what struggle you are facing in life today, know that God is right there ready and willing to strengthen you for the task ahead. If you are feeling overwhelmed today let me encourage you to read Isaiah 40 again and be wowed by the greatness of our almighty God. If your problem is too big, your God is too small! I am so excited about this Sunday AM series! I know God is going to do great things as we open the Word and hear from Him every Sunday. If you haven’t been to Sturgeon Alliance in a while, there is no better time to make your way back! We have 2 Sunday AM services at 9:15 and 11:00am. And if you are a regular, invite your friends! Let’s see what God does in our midst as we lift up His name and learn about Him.

Here is The Loop

1.     Prayer Room – Every Sunday morning after each service we will have a room available for prayer. If God is working in your life and you would like to pray with someone please stop by the meeting room, just off the foyer. One of our Elders and his wife will be there each Sunday to pray with you.

And, we have a special speaker - Teresa Rilling scheduled to share about having a “Renewed Heart”.  Tickets for the evening are $10.
